Microsft update destroys data

The people who programed Microsoft Update did something very stupid.

They set it to forcibly reboot the computer!

I lost my work!

This is about the third time that a Microsoft dohicky negligently damaged my computer.

www.catproof.org is my new website to make better user interfaces... but this auto update isn't just a bad interface... It's gotta be malicious it's so horrible!

I can say that Microsoft is malicious because the only possible reason why they would do something this bad is because some idiot thinks that certainly destroying all of your data is better than leaving trusting the owner with a notification.

Although, I'm having some problems with Ubuntu developers.. they've got launchpad for bug tracking, and it seems perfect... except for actually getting the bug fix into product. ... The people are at least polite.

Kubuntu is going to be a great way to go... oh, and knoppix released a new version!
